Hello,

My name is Mary Ellen Korte and I am the president of the Carmelite Carefree Village Auxiliary. The Auxiliary was established in June of 1996. The purpose of this organization is to support, promote, and advance the welfare of the residents. We aim to accomplish this through service to the residents and fund-raising projects.

Since our beginning in 1996 this organization has funded a glider for the front patio, automatic front doors and main floor restrooms, and new front patio furniture. Our latest project is the new perennial garden by the front parking lot and chapel.

Some of the activities that we sponsor are monthly jingo or bingo parties, free ice cream social, Fall Bazaar, Christmas Sing-A-Long, tree trimming in the main lobby, Mardi Gras Party and resident picnic. Our fundraisers are the annual bazaar, Carmelite Carefree Village cookbooks and an ad book of local business.
